Pontypool Art in the Park

On the 27th of June I took past in The Plein Air Painting Competition in Pontypool Park.  Above is a picture of me with my painting on the wall behind me after at the judging.  I look shattered and to tell you the truth it was a marathon!  Apart for bathroom visits I didn’t move from my chair for 8 hours and it took me a while to learn to walk again.  I learned a great deal from the experience and will use these points next time.  Things like don’t use water colours, it is not a good medium for me.   Paint smaller, as I did the maximum size!   And last but not least bribe the judges, lol.

  1. Just a shame that the one judge came and looked at everyone’s work whilst they were still painting, kind of spoilt the idea of the judges not knowing who had painted what. Just saying.
